We run different classes on Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays, see below for details.
Please note:
Throughout the year we sometimes run Intro to Salsa On2 and Cha Cha classes. This would be instead of the Intermediate classes On1 class at 9:00pm on Mondays.

Beginners Salsa Lessons
Beginners (Course) and Beginners Plus (Course and drop in option - but must have completed the Bristol SalsaFix beginners course)
Our Bristol Salsafix Beginners Courses is the perfect entry point into the world of social dancing. In this carefully structured program, you'll learn the essential steps and techniques that will give you the confidence to dance socially with style and ease. No previous experience or partner is required—just bring your enthusiasm!
Classes are delivered in a clear, step-by-step format, making the learning process enjoyable and accessible. You’ll progress at a pace that suits you, gradually building a solid routine to take confidently to the dance floor.
Upon completing the beginners course, you'll have developed a strong foundation that prepares you to move into either our Beginners plus and class or Move to Improver Level classes. You will continue to build on your skills, learning more diverse movements, enhancing your technique, and gaining greater confidence with every step.

Move to Improver + Improvers Salsa Lessons
A salsa move to Improver and Improver classes are designed for dancers who have already learned the basics and are ready to take their skills to the next level. If you've completed a beginners course or have some social dancing experience, this is the perfect place to refine your technique and broaden your repertoire. A move to improver classes is taught at a slightly slower pace than the Improver class.

TECHNIQUE REFINEMENT:
You’ll revisit the foundational steps with added precision and additional arm techniques.
EXPANDED VOCABULARY: Learn new turn patterns, partner dynamics, and combinations. Musical Awareness: Improve your timing, rhythm interpretation, and connection to the music.
SOCIAL CONFIDENCE: Develop smoother transitions and greater confidence in social dancing settings.
STYLING & FOOTWORK: Begin incorporating expressive elements to make your dancing more dynamic and personal.
Improver classes are the bridge between basic social dancing and more advanced styles—they sharpen your skills while keeping the experience fun and inspiring.
Intermediate Salsa Classes
What Is an Intermediate Salsa Class?
An Intermediate salsa class is designed for dancers who have already mastered the basic and improver levels and are ready to explore more complex elements of the dance. At this stage, students typically have strong foundational technique, solid musical awareness, and confidence in social dancing. Intermediate classes aim to enhance creativity, fluidity, and control on the dance floor.
What to Expect at the Intermediate Level:
COMPLEX TURN PATTERNS:
Incorporating multiple rotations, directional changes, and lead/follow precision.
ADVANCED PARTNER WORK:
Emphasis on connection, timing, and responsiveness in dynamic combinations.
MUSICAL INTERPRETATION:
Exploring phrasing, breaks, and the use of instrumentals to guide movement.
STYLING & BODY MOVEMENT:
Greater focus on footwork, arm styling, and body isolations for personal expression.
FLOORCRAFT & TRANSITIONS:
Learning how to navigate the dance floor smoothly and adapt movements in real time.
Intermediate classes often challenge dancers with faster tempos and require strong coordination and attention to musical detail. They’re a great space to refine your artistry and elevate your dancing from functional to expressive.
Advanced Salsa Classes
What Is an Advanced Salsa Class?
An Advanced salsa class is tailored for experienced dancers who have developed strong technical skills, refined musicality, and a confident presence on the dance floor. It focuses on pushing creative boundaries and mastering complex elements of salsa through challenging combinations, precision partner work, and expressive artistry.
What You’ll Encounter in an Advanced Class:
INTRICATE TURN PATTERNS:
Fast-paced, multi-directional sequences with seamless transitions and syncopation
PRECISION PARTNERING:
Advanced lead and follow techniques, including subtle cues and responsive styling
MUSICAL MASTERY:
Deep interpretation of phrasing, breaks, polyrhythms, and instruments—especially during mambo sections and dynamic musical shifts
STYLING & ISOLATIONS:
High-level control over body movement, with emphasis on arms, torso, and footwork variations for added flair
IMPROVISATION & FLOOR PRESENCE:
Exploring creativity in real time with confidence, fluidity, and musical storytelling

DJ Eddie’s Salsa lessons are exceptional. The routines are challenging and exciting with excellent guidance. As a result of this, the environment promotes positive learning for all. Eddie’s selection of music is fantastic which adds to the amazing environment.

Not sure how to put Salsa, Latin dance and being taught by Eddie into words really but here goes.
If Salsa and Latin dance gets “in you” it is truly amazing, so being taught by the best really helps you on your discovery into this amazing world. Eddie is just brilliant so passionate and focused on good technique and yet aware that for all of us it is a journey and so is patient, ever helpful and will be at your side to help you progress. There are so many teachers of salsa and I have experienced a few, they will offer you different flavors of style and skills but what we all need are sound skills and in my opinion from foundation level through to the higher skill levels you need to be guided by the best on a consistent and steady progressive platform of tuition. I can’t recommend higher.

I started learning Salsa with Eddie 5years who. With Eddie’s passion for salsa and his amazing teaching skills I quickly became a total Salsa addict!!! Classes are so friendly and fun and Eddie seems to have this talent for making sure everyone hones their technique to perfection. On top of his ability for teaching, he’s one of the smoothest leads and manages to always put in some more challenging moves with every dance which is improving my dancing no end. Finally, his dj skills and taste in music are fabulous. Literally never want to leave the dance floor when Eddie’s working the decks. Basically going to Eddie’s classes and events have changed my life for the better. I could not recommend anyone or anything more highly!!! Keeeeep dancing!!!
